Petrol Prices in Pakistan From 16 May 2023
The price of Petrol has been decreased from Rs. 282 to Rs. 270, marking a reduction of 12 rupees per liter. Furthermore, the cost of High-Speed Diesel has seen a significant reduction of 30 rupees, declining from 288 Rs to 258 Rs. This reduction represents the largest drop in diesel prices since January 2023.
Kerosene prices have also experienced a decrease from 176.07 PKR to 164.07 PKR, amounting to a reduction of 12 Rs per liter. Similarly, the price of Light Diesel Oil has been reduced by Rs. 12 per liter.
The decision to reduce the prices of petroleum products has been taken in light of the downward trend observed in the international market. With prices decreasing globally, the government aims to pass on the benefits to the consumers in Pakistan by lowering the existing prices.
This move by the Finance Division is expected to provide relief to the general public and various industries that rely heavily on petroleum products for their operations.
